MTCE Summer Meeting 2013: Greater Hamburg, Germany
The summer meeting 2013 took place in Greater Hamburg from Sunday June 30th to Friday July 5th. Our highly respected members Danni and Frank showed us some bends where we never expected them. There were tours in the northern Germany landscape shaped by the seas and its coasts. In addition we got to know the thrilling scene of one of the most famous seaports of the world. Hamburg is one of Germany's most exciting cities.

Visit of the twin ship lift with museum.
Lunch in Garlstorf.
Coffee break in Tiessau.
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013
Sighseeing (second) most beautiful town on earth, Hamburg, by public transport.
Landmarks: Alster (including a short boat trip), harbour, Michel, Krameramtsstuben, Speicherstadt, Townhall and Moenckebergstraße.
Visit of the largest model railway.
Lunch at Restaurant Das Kontor.
Thursday, July 4th, 2013
Riding in the area south of Hamburg.
Lunch in Hamburg-Harburg, afterwards destination south west into the biggest contiguous fruit-producing region in Europe "Altes Land".
Guided tour on a fruit farm including coffee break in Jork.
Afterwards direction home over the Köhlbrand brigde and through the Old Elbe Tunnel.
